It's been over a month since I put anything in, at least two since anything worthwhile, and I haven't updated this journal since school started. If I was not working on homework/apps/scholarships, I have been playing Super Smash Bros Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, or Guitar Hero World Tour.

But a new year is upon us, and I feel like returning to DA. I have been keeping up with messages and deviations from my friends, but I really want to get back to making things.

I haven't been completely uncreative these past months though. I have made a bunch of experiments, card designs for my dad (he runs a photo store and I help him with the digital stuff), and a few business cards for my friends.

I also downloaded Terragen a few days ago, it's really powerful and fun. Really simple too. I wish however that I could place other 3D objects in the terrain. But that's Photoshop in the end I guess.

I opened a Flickr a few days ago. It's basically all my stuff from DA for a different audience. You can find it here: flickr.com/people/jk_aznangel/…

So yea. I want to get back to making things, I have a bunch of landscapes primed for messing around with in Terragen, and I miss advertising all over the thumbshare forum and making new friends.

Well...it's that time of the year again
School >.<

I'm entering senior year this fall, and due to college admissions, im expecting a rough semester. I don't know how my DA activity is going to fare.
I know I've been going here less and less, partly due to the new system (it's too easy to skip over messages and new deviations), and partly due to me trying to get other things done.

Work takes off about half my day, and I have a lot of sh*t to do in the other half...lot of summer homework i have to finish, a lot of college sh*t i have to prepare for, and i'm trying to finish a project on FruityLoops, which is taking quite some time.
So I don't know how much I will be on DA, like I used to be when there wasn't much to do

Anyway, I'll still be around, but less.

I'm sorry I couldn't update this when I actually hit 2k.

I was either at 6Flags Great Adventure or visiting UPenn.
It was awesome.
Even though the wait times were kinda long
While some of the rides were ridiculously crappy
And though the speaker spoke in a broken amplifier
And though it was 95 degrees outside when we toured the campus
It was awesome.

Aside from that

1. I got my 46" TV.
2. Hooked up to IO
3. And I watched CodeMonkeys and Ninja Warrior for the first time
4. AP score results came back
5. I got a 5/5 on AP Physics
6. I'm not sure how, but that's freaking amazing
7. Like, really amazing
8. I'm 16 episodes into Death Note
9. The discs only have 4 episodes each
10. And I'm trying to resist watching the other eps online
11. Since Netflix takes forever to ship discs
12. And I'm too cheap to buy the box set
13. I finally ordered a MSI Wind, off Amazon.com
14. It will arrive between August 6 to August 14
15. I thought I didn't have to pay tax but I did
16. It's going to be my birthday present anyway so w/e

Fruityloops Studio 8!
I finally got the full version!

Fruityloops is a fun, albeit complicated program that offers sophisticated music programming, and I have been spending a lot of time with it.
So...my DA output may suffer a bit but I'm not gone

Download the demo! Fruityloops Studio, which comes along with another spiffy program Deckadance (a DJ program).
Both seem daunting at first, but after getting the basics they're a lot of fun.
